CYLC Board Meetings – Next Board Meeting is January 17th 2016

NOTE:

The board meeting for February 2016, is scheduled for the 3rd Sunday on February 21st from 6 to 8 PM at Johnston Park building, 2985 Lewisberry Road.

CYLC board meetings are scheduled on a monthly basis. The first 15 to 30 minutes of the meeting will be dedicated to feedback from guests attending the meeting. Agenda topics can be submitted to CYLC secretary up to one week before the meeting. Please submit topics to our main email centralyorklacrosseclub@gmail.com.

We welcome all parents and coaches to attend any meeting to ask questions or just learn more about CYLC. We look forward to meeting you so please come.

NOCSAE Announces Two Lacrosse Helmets are Non-Compliant with Standard

From a 12/04/14 press release from Cascade, they are working closely with NOCSAE on a retrofit to the R model helmet and may have this completed very soon. When it is released, there will be information provided on where to get the retrofit and how to apply it.

NOCSAE Announces Two Lacrosse Helmets are Non-Compliant with Standard: “US Lacrosse, the national governing body for men’s and women’s lacrosse, has been notified by NOCSAE (National Operating Committee on Standards for Athletic Equipment) that two lacrosse helmet models currently available in the marketplace — the Cascade Model R and the Warrior Regulator — do not meet the NOCSAE helmet standard, ND041.”

Level 1 Certification Q & A

Coaches,

All YCLA head coaches must hold the Level 1 Certification through US Lacrosse. In order to be 100% Level 1 certified through US Lacrosse, you must complete their background check (an NCSI background check). After all stages have been completed (link attached) you will then receive proof from US Lax that you are level 1 certified. If you have any questions please drop me a line.
